Ghana international Emmanuel Banahene has joined Egyptian football club Ismaily after Brazilian coach Heron Ricardo Ferreira confirmed the transfer for the player.
Banahene has joined Ismaily on a two and a half years from Saudi Arabia club Al-Orouba as a free agent.
Chairman of Ismaily, Mohamed Abou El-Soud was not bothered about Emmanuel Banahene’s history with Israeli club Hapoel Petah Tikva FC and said of the Ghanaian’s move:
“Yes, he did play in Israel, however, his last team was based in Saudi Arabia.
“We do not have a problem with the teams he played for as long as his skills are a good fit for the team.”
Ismaily have also signed Kenneth Ikechukwu Ngwoke of Nigeria and Theophilus Anobaah of Ghana.
Ghanaian player Theophilus Anobaah is reportedly set to be unveiled by the club after the player was released from Petrojet.
