Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah will be sacked if the Black Stars lose to Togo on Wednesday, sources close to the team have revealed to Allsports.com.gh.
Ghana go into the match against the Sparrow Hawks of Togo needing a positive result to stay in touch in the African Nations Cup group after a disappointing home draw against Uganda on Saturday.
Pressure has been mounting on Appiah since the team's disappointing outing at the World Cup in Brazil,after which a decision was made to hire a technical advisor to bolster the bench of the team.
The source also told Allsports.com.gh Appiah was made aware of the axe hanging over his head before the team's game against Uganda.
With a new two year contract in hand the Ghana Football Association will be saddled with a hefty pay off bill to the former captain of the Black Stars before they see the last of him.
